1. Who we are
DailyCalc ("we", "us") is a website operated by the DailyCalc team, based in India. For the purposes of the EU and UK GDPR and similar laws, we are the data controller for the personal data described below, except where Google acts as an independent controller (sections 4 and 5).

2. Calculator inputs are never collected
Every calculator on DailyCalc is implemented as client-side JavaScript. When you enter a weight into the BMI calculator, a salary into the loan calculator, or a birth date into the age calculator, that value is held in your browser's memory, used to compute a result, and then discarded. It is not sent to our server, not stored, and not passed to Google Analytics, Google AdSense or any other third party.
A practical consequence: we genuinely cannot recover your previous calculations, because they never existed on our side.
3. What we collect
- Contact messages — your name, email address, chosen topic and message, which you send knowingly through the contact form or by email.
- Server logs — the hosting provider records each request (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, browser user agent) for security and uptime diagnostics.
- Analytics data — via Google Analytics 4: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, referring site and on-page events. See section 4.
- Advertising data — via Google AdSense: cookies and device identifiers used to serve, measure and (where you allow it) personalise ads. See section 5.
4. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to count visits and understand which calculators and guides people find useful. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_<ID>) that distinguish browsers for up to two years. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland: analytics cookies are not set unless you consent through the consent message. Without consent, Google receives only cookieless, aggregate signals under Google Consent Mode.
You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites by installing Google's browser opt-out add-on.
5. Advertising (Google AdSense)
DailyCalc displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Ads are how we keep every calculator free. Advertisers never see your calculator inputs and have no influence over our formulas or content.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU). If you opt out you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are shown a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform before any advertising cookies are used. You can accept, reject, or choose specific purposes and vendors, and change your choice at any time using the "Privacy & cookie settings" link in the site footer.
6. Why we process data, and our lawful basis
- Contact messages: legitimate interests — you asked us something and we answer it, or verify and correct a reported calculation error.
- Server logs: legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and available.
- Analytics and advertising cookies: your consent where the law requires it (EEA, UK, Switzerland); elsewhere, our legitimate interest in funding and improving a free service, with the opt-outs described above.
7. How long we keep data
Contact messages are kept in our mailbox for up to 24 months so we can follow up on reported errors, then deleted. Ask us and we will delete yours sooner.
Server logs are rotated by the hosting provider within days. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Advertising cookie lifetimes are set by Google and are listed in our Cookie Policy.
8. Sharing and international transfers
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the providers needed to run the site: our web hosting and email provider, and Google (Analytics and AdSense). Google may process data in the United States and other countries and relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.
We will disclose data if compelled by a valid legal order. Calculator inputs cannot form part of any disclosure because we never receive them.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (which does not affect earlier processing). In the EEA and UK you may also complain to your data protection authority.
California and other US-state residents: we do not sell personal information for money. Sharing data with Google for personalised advertising may count as "sharing" under some state laws; you can opt out through Google Ads Settings, your browser's Global Privacy Control signal, or by contacting us.
To exercise any right, email contact@dailycalc.store. We reply within one month and do not charge a fee.
10. Children
DailyCalc is a general-audience reference tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has contacted us, tell us and we will delete the message.
11. Security
All traffic is served over HTTPS. The contact form is protected against spam and email-header injection, and messages go straight to our mailbox — they are not stored in a database on the website. We hold very little data, which is the strongest privacy control available.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how data is handled, we update the date at the top of this page and describe the change in plain language.
